Chrome extension · RSVP reading
Read one word at a time.
Focus is a Chrome extension that presents text using rapid serial visual presentation (RSVP). Words appear one after another in a single place, so you can read without moving your eyes across the page.
This website is for product information, policies, and support. Focus runs in your Chrome browser — there is no sign-in or reading on this site.
How Focus works
Focus is an extension for your browser, not a website. You bring the text; it presents it one word at a time.
Choose your text
Paste text, select text on a webpage, or open a supported document. Focus processes the text you choose to read — nothing more.
Read in one place
Words are presented one after another in a single spot, so your eyes stay still instead of scanning across the page.
Reading stays on your device
Your reading history is kept on your device. If you subscribe, monthly usage is reported as word counts so your plan's limits can be applied — the text itself is not sent to Focus's quota backend.
Data, in plain terms
A short summary of how Focus handles information. The full detail is in the Privacy Policy.
- Google sign-in
- Focus uses Google sign-in for account identity. Through sign-in it may receive basic profile information, such as your name and email, which is used to provide your account, subscription, and monthly reading-usage features.
- Your text
- Reading text, PDF contents, OCR text, selected webpage text, reading titles, and source URLs stay on your device. Usage accounting reports word-count increments and the identifiers needed to process them — never the text.
- Payments
- Payment details are handled by Stripe. Focus does not store your payment information.
- This website
- No accounts, no sign-in, no reading. This site only describes the extension, its policies, and how to get support.
This page is a summary, not the policy. See the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service for what applies.
